Children are precious to us at Fairhaven, and we know that we have a profound responsibility to care for and protect them (Matt. 18:6), to support their parents who are raising them in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Eph. 6:4), and to teach them to love God, His Word, and their neighbors (Matt. 22:37-39).
Our staff members have been trained, vetted, and work together in teams to provide the safest and most loving care necessary so that you can rest at ease. During our worship and teaching services, your children are welcome to join us or to stay with you; the choice is yours.
We have several ways that we minister to the children under our care.
Our loving nursery workers are ready for your children during Breaking of Bread (children up to 5 years) and during the Family Bible Hour (children up to pre-K).
To find the nursery, proceed down the stairs to the lower level and turn right. You’ll see the entry door to the left of the drinking fountain.
Our team provides fun Bible lessons, songs, and craft activities during the Family Bible Hour.
To find our Children’s Church, look inside the Main Auditorium for the pews next to the door to the Fireside Room. After the worship music at the beginning of each service, our staff will escort the children to the patio next to the parking lot. You can pick up your children there after the service.
The Awana Ministry at Fairhaven has been serving the children of the East Bay for over 30 years. We have three clubs for different age groups.

Over the past few years we hosted a summertime VBS. A fun time was had by all, as the children learned Bible verses, played games, won prizes, and made crafts.
We are looking forward to hosting another VBS in the future. If you would you like to be notified about our plans once they are in place, sign up with the following link.
We believe that summer camps are a great opportunity for kids to learn about God in the beauty of the outdoors, with fun, games, solid Bible teaching, all while under the leadership of committed camp counselors and staff.
Each year Fairhaven provides scholarships for youth to attend various camps at Koinonia Conference Grounds.
