Last year Fairhaven started studying the book of Acts, the second half of Luke’s narrative. During the ’22-’23 school year, we launched into the first part of the series. The entire series will last about a year and half in all.

The book of Acts starts up right at the dramatic end of the Lord Jesus’s earthly ministry and then takes us through the gospel of Christ spreading first through Jerusalem, then Judea, and ultimately into all the nations of the world. The book covers the earliest days of the church’s history, providing an important bridge between the gospels, which reveal the life of Christ, and the Christ-life taught in the Epistles. Our emphasis on this journey will be to observe the Holy Spirit, witnesses, and prayer.

There will be two ways to participate in our study. First, we invite you to join us for the Sunday sermons, available live at the chapel on Sunday mornings at 11:00 a.m. or you can watch via Live Stream. New this fall will be the availability of sermon video replays on Fairhaven’s YouTube channel, in addition to the existing audio replays available on this website.

The second way to participate will be by joining an Acts Group. These Bible Study Groups meet during the week and discuss that week’s passage, using questions prepared by the speaker. This is a vital opportunity to interact with and learn from other believers about the passage for the week.

We hope you will join us for this exciting adventure!
